Backpain - self-therapies

I would divide them in two groups, passive and active self-therapies. Passive self-therapies are those which do not require you to do anything else than what you are doing everyday, just to do it better. It is about correcting those poor postures I have already discussed.

Learn how to properly stand, sit down on a chair, carry luggage or weights, how to properly arrange your working place (especially for desk-jobs, computer-jobs, office-jobs, etc.). If you work with a computer it is extremely important how to position the different computer parts relative to your body: the computer monitor(screen), the keyboard, the mouse, the chair and the desk.

Learn all these and get rid of tose poor postures as soon as possible. This way you will corrct or maintain the shape of your spine.

equire you to do m Active self-therapies are those who require you to do something to improve the shape and the flexibility of your spine, to practice some disciplines. The only sport that helps is swimming, and also maybe Nordic skiing (not Alpine skiing) and long distance walking.

Also included are some specific disciplines like Pilates, stretching, and some Oriental, Eastern disciplines like Yoga, Tai Ji Quan (Tai Chi), Qi Gong and Yi Jin JIng.

Together with corrcting the poor postures and habits, best thing is to choose one of this disciplines that feels more appropriate or suited for you and practice it, because doing this you can improve your spine condition. For how long? For your whole life. Backpain is a lifelong problem, as I said it can be better called "weak spine", you have to deal with it for your whole life.
